Texture conversion failure within the same file.

I tried to convert the files using Texconv, which was included with xLODGen, a modding tool for the video game Skyrim.
However, the process stopped midway without throwing any error messages.
I subsequently tried converting the textures within the same folder via the Command Prompt using the latest version of Texconv, but it stopped in the same way.
It seems to be entirely specific to my environment, as I haven't seen any other similar cases, but I'm reporting it here anyway.
Is there any other information or are there any files I should provide?

Here is the texture I attempted to convert but failed to process.
I entered the following command: "D:\xLODGen\Edit Scripts\texconvx.exe" -nologo -y -m 1 -aw 256 -sepalpha -f DXT1 -bc d *.dds

Are you using the Debug or Release build of texconv? It processes very quickly for me with a release build.

Most of those files are tiny, but one is 18 MB.

Strange. Nothing like what you are describing happens for me. What kind of anti-virus software are you using?

Maybe I'm not understanding the problem. What is "stopped in the same way" exactly?

BTW, I don't know if Skyrim actually supports "DX10" extended-format DDS files. You may want to use -dx9 to ensure it always uses the legacy header.

The only security software I am using is Windows Defender. I have tried configuring exclusions and disabling real-time protection. By "stopping," I mean that the process suddenly halts midway, as shown in the image. It really seems to be an issue specific to my environment.
