@ewdurbin @pradyunsg could one of you go to https://app.readthedocs.org/dashboard/python-packaging-user-guide/edit/ and see if https://github.com/pypa/packaging.python.org.git is available in auto-complete of the Connected repository field? It's already connected to the localized websites but not to the canonical one.

@ewdurbin thanks! I've discovered another related change that needs to happen. Could you go into this repository's settings, then webhooks and delete any related to RTD?

This is important because with both legacy integration + GH App, RTD gets every event twice and that causes double builds on each PR one of which is cancelled right away but the failure shows up in PRs for a short while which may confuse people.
