Is it possible to mark testSingleSpan with @isTest? The rule cannot find any test invocations and that's why it shows a warning.

Yes this resolved it. I will leave this issue open for now while I am working on adding more DCM rules to our analysis_options.yaml file.

@kenzieschmoll jfyi, we recently published 1.39.0 that includes all fixes + I went through some of your PRs and fixed a few more cases with // ignore that are can be handled on our side
